About Us
Rick is the director, co-owner and lead stylist at Get Staged Newcastle And Hunter. A lover of real estate and design, he has a passion for property staging which he discovered after renovating his own home. His keen eye for detail ensures that each property staged by his team is transformed into a masterpiece that will help to sell fast and for top dollar.
When he’s not staging homes or working on his fitness, Rick enjoys spending time with his family and friends camping or trying new restaurants – preferably ones with a good wine list! He’s witty, professional and always puts the needs of his clients first.
Chris is the other half of the duo behind Get Staged Newcastle & Hunter. He is responsible for all things logistics and warehousing. Chris loves real estate but isn’t so keen on working weekends. When he was looking for a new challenge, staging homes seemed like the perfect fit.

5 Reasons Why To Invest In Staging
If you want to sell a home quickly and for the best possible price, staging is one of the easiest ways to make it happen. Staging a home ensures that buyers see it in its very best light, and can help illustrate what a property can offer without requiring a complete makeover. And in an industry where making a great first impression can make all the difference, it’s easy to see how staging has become such an integral part of the selling process. Buyers are encouraged (and rightfully so) to focus more on the “bones” of a house than its interior aesthetics. That can be tough to do though when clutter, outdated furniture, and loads of personal items attached to the current owners are on display in the listing pictures and during open homes. As a seller, you have a lot to gain from making it easier on the buyer to see the true potential of a space—and to do it, you’re going to need to stage.
With so many people looking at your home, not everyone is going to love your style the same way you do. When it comes to selling your home you need your space to strike the perfect balance between blank state and homey. That’s where home staging comes into play.
Many home buyers start their searches online, which means the first impression they get of your home is the posted pictures of it. They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, but in this case a picture can be worth thousands of dollars, if it entices people to come tour your home and put in an offer. If people don’t like what they see online, there’s a good chance they’ll pass on seeing it in person. If there’s more than one home for sale in your neighborhood staging can also help your home stand out from your neighbours.
Professional stagers know how to get the most out of every room. If your home is on the smaller side, staging can help potential buyers see the openness of your home instead of focusing on the small square footage. Staging can give every room a clear purpose, taking the guesswork out of things for buyers. A good stager will be able to walk through your home and create a flow that is beneficial to most potential home buyers. When buyers can see how the space is used, they’re less likely to get hung up on a strange layout or a small floor plan, which increases their chances of buying.
Proper staging can make the home appear larger. It’s a common misconception that clearing out a room can make it seem bigger, but it actually makes the room appear smaller. On the other end of the spectrum, having too many pieces or oversized furniture can make the rooms feel cramped. Staging can turn a room that appears “too small” to “cozy” in a buyer’s mind.
When the market is hot and prices are higher, buyers are less likely to have funds for renovations or repairs. Staging puts less weight on minor renovations or repairs that need to be made. Stagers know the most cost-effective updates or repairs needed to show that your home is well worth the selling price.
The goal of staging your home is to get people interested in it, and if multiple people are interested a bidding war can begin. If a buyer falls in love with your home they’ll likely be more willing to offer over asking price to make sure they get it. According to Home Staging Statistics, staged properties sell for 8-10% higher then unstaged properties. 10% on a $800,000 home is $80,000 this more then covers the cost of having your home staged and all your realtors cost. Room-by-Room Guide to Effective Home Staging
Home staging is an essential part of preparing a property for sale, helping to showcase its strengths and allowing potential buyers to envision themselves living there. By effectively staging each room, you can create a welcoming and appealing environment that highlights the home’s best features. Each room serves a different purpose and requires specific attention to detail to make it stand out. The living room, as the central gathering space, sets the tone for the entire home. It should feel welcoming and spacious, encouraging buyers to see it as an area for relaxation and entertainment. Kitchens and dining areas are crucial as well, often seen as the heart of the home. These spaces should be clean, functional, and modern, demonstrating...
